Hand-made in Sebastopol, California, I combine gentle style with wholehearted craftsmanship, to create one of a kind artisan rope bowls. Using a traditional ice-dyeing method, these bowls are made using various fabrics, color combinations, textures & design. Whether used for a new baby's gift basket, or for a loved one's holiday gift, these special keepsakes are sure to be treasured by all.
The Dyeing Process
Fabrics are hand chosen to match buttons, and usually incorporate a theme. From bohemian looks to traditional farmhouse styles, Wine Country Weaves has a bowl for everyone.
Using a traditional Ice Dyeing method, raw rope is placed below the ice, letting gravity draw the melted, colored water down for a one-of-a-kind staining.
Once the rope's been dyed, it is dried and organized into different color categories. Rope is then matched with fabrics, thread & buttons before becoming a bowl.
